Luke 17:21 “The Kingdom of God is Within You.”

Ever since I experienced my spiritual awakening last year it has driven me to examine the bible. One might say I’m even a little obsessed with it. But for good reason. Once a  person experiences a God-like event in his or her life they are no longer the same. Whether you like it or not.

My awakening came about 4 to 5 months into my meditation practices. I actually started to meditate because I was struggling with some ADD/ADHD issues, which are now almost completely gone. As important and life-changing as mediation has been for myself as well as billions of others, I started to question, “This has to be in the bible right?”

Turns out, the entire bible is written in dark sayings, parables and allegory. Most people have zero freaking clue what the bible is actually saying. But this is not their faults as the bible has been edited from version to version and from Hebrew/Aramaic, Greek and lastly to English.

But, it is extremely important for a person that is willing and committed to live their life for God that they have a full understanding of what the bible is actually trying to tell us.

In a nutshell, the bible is a book on personal enlightenment. Each and every story in the bible is relating itself to the anatomy of the human body, our own personal egos and our eternal infinite souls.

Depending on who taught you the meanings of the bible will determine if you agree with that statement or not. But keep this in mind, the bible is NOT A LITERAL BOOK. It is full of symbolism, allegory and dark sayings. It is after all, a spiritual book.

Let’s take a look at a rather popular scripture from Christ himself, Luke 17:21

Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”

What exactly did Christ mean by “within.”

It means exactly this……

A person has to learn how to sit still and calm their racing monkey minds in order to activate the billions of dormant brain cells located in the right side of the brain. When a person successfully learns how to sit still in meditation and create space in between their thoughts, then guess what? That person is allowing the LIGHT of God to enter within themselves.

It’s quite odd that the only thing a person has to do in order to experience the beauty of God is to sit still and calm their minds. Man are most of us way off!

Why on earth do you think that since the beginning of time people all over the world have been meditating? Think about it people.

Another thing, why does the bible constantly mention coming from the “east” and when Jesus says “Cast your net to the right side.” He’s talking about the right hemisphere of our brains, which is the creative, spiritual side. Take a little look into science and spirituality and you will find they have a common ground.

So lets all do as Jesus says and “Look Within Oursleves” instead of constantly looking and searching outside of ourselves for validation and security. That is a never ending battle. You have everything you need inside of you. The problem is that damn highway of thoughts that begins from the time you wake until the time you sleep are playing tricks on ya.

Take it from a guy who suffers from constant overthinking. If I can calm down my thoughts, I believe you can too. And trust me when I say it will be the best decision of your entire life while your walking your journey back home to God.
