Meditation in Schools

Every so I often I take a step back to look and see how my goal setting and accomplishing is coming along.

To the most part I stay on track but I had a thought come into my mind the other day.

As I learn more and more about the positive effects of meditation, not only on the mind, but the body and soul as well, I had some sort of a long term goal or perhaps a dream one might say. Lets teach kids how to meditate.

Now as I’ve mentioned before, I’m not a doctor or anybody special. I’m just a regular dude behind a CPU screen who has reaped so many positive benefits from meditating and I apologize if I’m speaking out of terms here. But I believe I’m not.

Lets take a little closer look about what I mean.

“I start the day with Transcendental Meditation. It puts me in the best mood. I wake up and just prop myself up in bed for 20 minutes. It’s the only time my mind gets absolute rest.” Katy Perry

Paul McCartney, and the rest of the Beatles, studied meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1960s. In 2009, McCartney said, “In moments of madness, meditation has helped me find moments of serenity – and I would like to think that it would help provide young people a quiet haven in a not-so-quiet world.

Clint Eastwood told the David Lynch Foundation, “I’m a great supporter of Transcendental Meditation. I’ve been using it for almost 40 years now – and I think it’s a great tool for anyone to have, to be able to utilize as a tool for stress.”

Now these are only a few of the thousands of some of the most successful and well-rounded human beings on this planet that use meditation to manage the daily ups and downs life has to offer.

If you’ve ever meditated before then you know exactly how they feel and exactly why I’m so passionate in my writing.

So let’s see here, meditation helps you relax. It helps you manage stress, it brings you to a point of peace, love and serenity and it clears your mind. Exactly why myself and millions of others are already doing it.

I say, lets teach or youth this sense of clarity, calm and peace.

Lets teach the future of this planet all about love, joy and friendship on a completely different level.

Lets teach EVERYONE how to meditate and do it correctly.

Could you imagine?

Teaching people at an early age to embrace peace, and learning how to manage all the stress from school and their peers!

No more school bullying! No more fighting! No more picking on other kids and damaging their sense of self-worth at an early age!

Deep inside my soul, I honestly believe that not only would this world be filled with more peace, calm and love, but I also believe that our kids and the future of this planet will be healthier and safer.

But hey, this is just a dream right? But what do they say about your dreams?

If anyone out there reads this and you have the power to send this to someone who can actually do something with this please do.

Or if someone has started a movement to bring meditation in schools that I am unaware of I would love to do my part. I’m just a guy with huge dreams that is taking it day by day to accomplish them. Thank you all.
